Welcome, I'm Sasha.
I’m a scientific illustrator, which puts me in this fascinating place between science and art. I’m thrilled to be able to communicate scientific topics through visual means, whether that be fully rendered illustrations, infographics, schematized drawings, or step-by-step procedures and protocols.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Victoria. After two years working as a research assistant for the University of British Columbia, I pursued a Master of Art in Scientific Illustration at ZUYD University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands. I am currently based in British Columbia, Canada.
I can provide scientifically accurate illustrations for a range of target audiences. I am always excited to learn more about both new and familiar scientific topics. If you are interested in collaborating, or if you would simply like to share ideas, please contact me - I would love the opportunity to connect!

How Does it Work?
WORKFLOW
1. Contact
Contact me through email describing your project. From here we can meet through video call or in person depending on your location. We will discuss the specifics of your project and make an illustration list to fit your needs.
2. Estimate
I send you a quote with an illustration list, descriptions of each illustration, and price.
3. Illustration
After the quote is approved and signed, I start working on the project. You supply the scientific information and references necessary for me to understand and accurately illustrate your project.
4. Feedback
You will have two opportunities to provide feedback and make revisions to the illustrations: after the initial sketch and after the elaborated illustration is delivered. After the final illustrations are delivered, further revisions are possible for an additional fee.
5. Delivery
The final high-resolution illustrations are digitally delivered to you in the desired format.

I am able to make illustrations for:
Research publications, Patient education, Surgical procedures (human and veterinary), Scientific infographics, Advertising and marketing, Presentations, posters, and brochures, Journal, magazine, and thesis covers
